SPEED is one of the more classic card games that involves, well, speed. The goal of the game is to be the first player to discard all of the cards on your hand. You do this by choosing a card from your hand that is 1 step higher or lower than one of the 2 cards in the middle of the screen. This is where the title comes it - you won't be taking turns doing this. You'll need speed as the cards in the middle can only be used by the first player to discard their own cards there.

The rules are basicplayers take turns moving their pieces. Pawns move forward but capture diagonally, knights move in an L-shape, and other pieces have unique movement patterns. Strategy is key in chess. Protect your pieces, control the center of the board, and anticipate your opponent's moves. The game ends when one player's king is checkmated, resulting in a win or if a draw occurs under certain conditions.



In chess, a draw is a result where neither player wins, and the game ends in a tie. This can happen for several reasons, such as stalemate (where a player has no legal moves but is not in check), repetition of the same position three times, 50 moves without a capture or pawn move, insufficient material to checkmate, or mutual agreement between the players.

Special Chess Moves to Know

Castling



Castling is a special chess move involving the king and a rook. Its only allowed if neither the king nor the rook have moved previously, and there are no pieces between them. Additionally, the king cannot be in check, and it must not move through or land on any square that is under attack. This move helps protect the king and connect the rooks for better defense.



Taking the pass



Taking the pass, or en passant, is a special pawn capture in chess. If your opponent moves a pawn two squares forward and lands next to your pawn, you can capture it on your next move as if it had only moved one square. Your pawn will take its place, but this capture must be done immediately.

Tongits is a three-player card game that is still in the Rummy family. The objective of the game is to empty your hand cards by forming sets(melds) or minimize the total score when a fight is called or when the central stack is empty. Each player will be dealt 12 cards while the dealer gets 13, and the rest of the cards are left as a draw card. The game begins when the dealer dumps a card. The next person can either pick up the disposed card if that card makes a set or adds to a set they already have or get one from the central stack. Collect hand combinations and dump unnecessary cards. The picking and discarding of cards goes on until someone wins by Tongits, calls a fight, or until the central stack runs out of cards. If this happens, the players tally the points of the cards they have in hand, and the one with the lowest wins. To call a fight, the player needs to put down a meld on the table, and no player drops any card on any of their melds in that round.
